Fair Weather
"He answered and said to them, "When it is evening you say, It will be fair weather, for the sky is red; and in the morning, It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening. Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times." Matthew 16:2-3

Making the Cut!
On Wednesday, I officially made the cut! For those of you who don't know, I have been growing out my hair to cut to donate. I decided to us Pantene's program www.beautifullengths.com for a couple of reasons. All the hair they provide to those in need is free, and I only needed 8 inches! So my growing time was shorter and/or I wasn't going to have to go as short when I cut it off! I was a little nervous, but ready for a change. Dan was too! He was counting down the days which is a little different since he usually wants my hair longer!?
Here is my new look! It probably won't look like this when I do it(since I don't "do" my hair!). It is not as drastic as I imagined, but I think it is a good transition haircut. Thanks Ann! And didn't Jake do a great job with the picture taking?!

Jacob is currently reading the poetry of Sara Teasdale. Most of her poems are appropriate for Valentine's Day since she mainly wrote love poems. This poem comes from a book titled Those Who Love - a collection of her love poems.
Night
Stars over snow
And in the west a planet
Swinging below a star -
Look for a lovely thing and you will find it,
It is not far -
It never will be far.
So for Valentine's Day, my wish would be that you would see all the lovely things around you!

Lego Contraptions
During a recent trip to the bookstore we purchased an
overpriced LEGO Contraptions Kit. However, once we
made it home, it was well worth it!
