Today we went to the Conservatory in South Bend with Grandpa. If you've never been, it is well worth the small price of admission. Especially on a gray winter day! We are studying Botany and were on the lookout for some of the things we have learned already. Here was one of the orchids they had. The pics of the others didn't turn out :(. Hopefully Grandpa got some good ones!
It's a jungle in there!
These Bird of Paradise were in bloom all over.
The Arizona desert room. Not only is it warmer in here, full of cool plants, but it is in a dome which creates some fun acoustics.

Beautiful! I'm so glad they restored that place.
was that there when I lived there? I never heard of it...my kids would have loved that!
It's been around for a long time, but they are trying to raise funds now to keep the city of SB from tearing down - it would be a great loss!
Gorgeous.
What a blessing to have all that beauty close by.
