Day 324 to 337 (Minus a few!)

I finally have my camera back!  I didn't know I would miss it so much.  I guess this Project 365 has made it become a part of me!  So I am making up for 2 weeks and filling in with some pictures taken after the actual day  - they are noted with an * - cause you know, I'm just like that.  Enjoy!

Day 324, Sunday, November 21st
I really can't believe I didn't take a picture!  My sister and her family arrived on Saturday, L made it home from his overnight camp (he had a blast and wasn't in the house 5 minutes before he asked to go back to my mom's to see his cousins!) and we had a Thanksgiving feast at small group.  Oh yeah, I didn't take a picture, because I have this video!  Sorry for the poor quality and baby squealing in the background!

Day 325, Monday, November 22nd
M lost his first tooth!  It had been loose for quite a while, apparently he is not much of a tooth wiggler.  He came home from Nana's with it in a plastic bag - he had gotten her to take it out for him!  Thanks Nana!  What a cutie!

Day 326, Tuesday, November 23rd
Again - no picture and I did have my camera!

Day 327, Wednesday, November 24th
Breakfast with my sister and then to United Art and Education!  What a wonderful time!

Day 328, Thursday, November 25th
Happy Thanksgiving!  Grandpa Gorbics showing us his antique coffee grinder.

Day 329, Friday, November 26th*
An early Christmas present from Grandma Gorbics.  A beautiful Advent Calendar!  Thanks Debbie!  You are one talented woman and we have already enjoyed using this!

Day 330 & 331, Saturday & Sunday, November 27th & 28th*
Yes, it actually did take us 2 days to decorate our Christmas tree!  We discovered when we put it up on Saturday, that we needed more lights . . . and you can't hang any ornaments on before the lights are on . . . it was very hard for M to wait!  This is the earliest we have ever put up our Christmas tree - let's hope it survives until Christmas!

Day 332, Monday, November 29th*
I was very sad we didn't have the camera for this event - Turtle Racing at Cub Scouts!  L brought home a piece of wood with a pattern that he and Dad had to cut out.  He then got to personalize it - Super Turtle!  The whole in his head is where the string went through that was pulled to make him "walk".  He did have 2 eyeballs before the race!

Day 333, 334, 335, Tuesday - Thursday, November 30 - December 2nd
No pictures :(   Not starting the last month of Project 365 very well!

Day 336, Friday, December 3rd
I have my camera back!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Gorbics for dropping it by!
Yeah - and this is all I took a picture of - J being silly!  I'm sure I'll use it to embarrass him sometime in the future!

Day 337, Saturday, December 4th
M's turn for the Advent Calendar.  One thing I like about this one is that Baby Jesus stays on the whole time - that means no one fighting over who gets to put him on this year and me not being able to recall whose turn it is!

Day 303-309

Day 303, Sunday, October 31st
We had a great day planned with some small group members.  We were going to have a chili dinner, take a hay-ride and carve pumpkins.  But, due to our yucky sickness, none of that happened!  So much for making plans.

Day 304, Monday, November 1st
Another one down . . . J was home today with the cursed bug.  As you can see, we enjoyed him being here!

Day 305, Tuesday, November 2nd
Today we had a "muffin-tin" lunch - first seen here - and the kids loved it!  Not that you can tell by the expressions on their faces!

Day 306, Wednesday, November 3rd
One plus of Mom working - when she brings home ice-cream!

Day 307, Thursday, November 4th
We received our second load of wood for the season . . . hard at work getting it in before the rain/snow comes our way.

And a close-up of that little elf? in the background (Grandpa had created this hat for hunting and it's just to funny to part with).

Day 308, Friday, November 5th
Our first snow of the year!  Didn't really amount to much, but it counts!

It is harder to see the snow in this one, but do you recognize the view.  This post was just a couple of weeks ago!

Day 309, Saturday, November 6th
I would feel like I was leaving something major out if I didn't include a picture of the "silly" trend that has taken our house by storm!  These are M's new Star Wars "Silly Bands".

Day296-302

Day 296, Sunday, October 24th
Another beautiful fall day and Baby Girl's first "walk" back to Nana and Papa's.

Mother-Son date night at church.  We made our own pizzas and watched a movie together.

Day 297, Monday, October 24th
Scout awards tonight!  L was really looking forward to it - until they mentioned that he would be getting his face painted like an Indian.  L has never liked face-painting, fake tattoos, even stamps.   Even at a visit to Chucky Cheese, I have to convince him that he can't go in unless he gets an invisible stamp on his hand!  This dislike is written all over his face!

Oh, wait . . . Dad gets painted too?!

Now, that is worth smiling for!

He even made it home with his stripes and didn't wash it off right away!

Day 298, Tuesday, October 26th
I have been spending a lot of time here lately - my part-time pizza making job!  Isn't it cute?!  Before it was a pizza place, it was a barber shop.  My father remembers getting his hair cut here when he was a boy.  No matter what you asked for, everyone got the same cut!

Day 299, Wednesday, October 27th
My read I have been trying to get through.  My brother and a brother-in-law suggested it.  Not hard to get through, just hard to find the time to sit down and read it!

Day 300, Thursday, October 28th
Baked apples from Kim!  Yummilicious!  Thanks for the recipe!

Band Fall Party tonight!  J and some friends . . .

M getting ready to head out on the hay-ride.  This boy can just melt my heart!

The older students getting ready for their hay-ride.

L all decorated as a mummy!

Day 301, Friday, October 29th
Hubby came down with it Wednesday and M was the first one to get it.  You know this boy is sick if he is napping!

Day 302, Saturday, October 30th
Can anyone say T-R-O-U-B-L-E?!  Baby Girl didn't want to eat them, she just wanted to dump them all over the floor!  And her attempts to make sure she got sick (using M's toothbrush and drinking from two of his "sick" cups yesterday) apparently worked - she was up shortly after bedtime getting sick. :(

Happy Birthday to my Boy

He turns 13 today.  I love you, J.  I still love your smile and love that you are my blond-haired boy with a quick wit and gentle heart.  I love you for who you've been, who you are and who you are becoming.  I love you for teaching me unconditional love as an infant, selflessness as a toddler, patience as a boy and to trust in God as a pre-teen.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Day 226-232

Day 226, Sunday, August 15th
Again, didn't realize I didn't have a picture till I went to post!!  Maybe I was still recovering from the Pulsefest?  I was going to post more on that too . . . maybe this week . . .

Day 227, Monday, August 16th
Sorry for the bad picture, but the camera didn't focus well and then the batteries went dead!  So, this is the only one I had.  We had bought this chair for M's 1st birthday and brought it downstairs because we thought Baby Girl might enjoy it - apparently, so does Toby!

Day 228, Tuesday, August 17th
Big changes are happening in our house this year - after much prayer and discussion, J is going back to public school - he is going into 7th grade - Jr. High!  (Prayers appreciated)  That means time for a  haircut!  Isn't he a cutie?!

Day 229, Wednesday, August 18th
J's first day of school - and I didn't take a picture!  Shame on me!  We did pass some of the time without him playing with Baby Girl's new toy from her Aunt C.  It is about time she learned how to apply lipstick and start wearing some bling, isn't it?!  Thanks Aunt C!

Day 230, Thursday, August 19th
What better than an outing with your cousin and having your own special place to sit?!

Day 231, Friday, August 20th
Toby in the chair, again, and Baby Girl trying to figure out how she is going to get in!  She loves climbing in and out of it, sitting in it with a book and getting in trouble for standing in it, but he just wants to nap!

Oh, yeah, and a night out with the hubby to celebrate my birthday!  All I need to say is "Yummy"!

Day 232, Saturday, August 21st
M's books all ready for 1st grade.  We usually don't start until after Labor Day, but with J already in school, we are ready to get going!  Not only was I getting him ready for a new experience this week, but also getting everything ready for M and L!  We start on Monday!

4-H Dog Club Showmanship

Here is the video of J and Toby for the showmanship portion of judging.  This was the first year for both of them.  The obedience was more for Toby and J was judged on the showmanship.  They both did a great job and received 191 out of 200 for showmanship.  Notice, the rapid wagging of the tail when the judge approached!

Day 143-149

Day 143, Sunday May 23rd
W were watching the son of some friends us for the weekend.  He is such a good friend to L.  I love that!

Day 144, Monday, May 24th
L had an orthodontist appt.  No work to be done yet, we'll have to wait 6 months and see . . . so why not grab some DQ?!

Day 145, Tuesday, May 25th
Dodge Ball day at the park with our homeschool group.  Wrapping the year up!

Day 146, Wednesday, May 26th
Baby Girl is on the move!  This week she has gone from just being able to sit up from a laying down position to crawling all over the place!  We can no longer put her down in one place and expect her to stay there!  That also means she is learning "No" and "Not for you"!  She looks at the forbidden object and will shake her head "no", like she is reminding herself that she shouldn't touch it - and usually tries again!

Day 147, Thursday, May 27th
Learning new forms at Karate.  The boys have been doing very well lately.  L especially has been really motivated and focused during class.

Day 148, Friday, May 28th
Poppy's from Mom's flower bed.  I love their color and size.  I can see them out my back door!

Day 149, Saturday, May 29th
Took this one while the boys were resting after running in a race today.  Thought it was a great photo-op!  Have a wonderful weekend and remember!

Day 136-142

Day 136, Sunday, May 16th
Baby Girl at our small group cook-out!  She loves being outside, especially if there is food involved!

Day 137, Monday, May 17th
My Aunt Mary and Bobby were in town for a visit.  Aunt Mary and Bobby were here last year at this time; I was pregnant and my sister had just found out she was expecting too!  I remember her husband asking how it was to be pregnant by myself (with each of my pregnancies one of my sister's has been pregnant with me) and hinting that it was no longer true!  How much changes in a year!

Day 138, Tuesday, May 18th
What better to do on a rainy day than watch a movie.  This one - Veggie Tales, Lord of the Beans!  Ha!  You can always count on Veggie Tales for a good spoof!

Day 139, Wednesday, May 19th
The sun is back out!  And it's that time of year again - to hang out the clothes!  There is just something about hanging clothes out on the line - very theraputic!

Day 139, Thursday, May 20th
I guess it's phone book time of year again too!  This is our second one this week - with a little present to go with it!

Day 140, Friday, May 21th
We've had this little visitor in our yard the last few days.  Isn't he cute?!

I call him "Toby's tormentor"!  He sits outside our backdoor and drives our dog nuts!

Day 142, Saturday, May 22nd
The view across the street tonight!
