Celebrating Birthday #2

We celebrated Baby Girl's 2nd Birthday at the local sprinkler park with friends, food and fun!

Baby Girl turns 2!

I can hardly believe Baby Girl is 2!

Springtime!

It seems springtime has finally arrived in Indiana!

Baby Girl loves to watch the birds and help Daddy fill the feeder.

We have other visitor's outside our window too . . . the squirrels we try and keep away, 

but can you spot our other guest?

He blends in so well, I am not sure if Baby Girl really saw him or not.

Day 338, Sunday, December 5th

My sister's Christmas tree tied to the top of their car. 

Day 339, Monday, December 6th

Baby Girl playing by herself, in one spot, for an extended period of time!  This doesn't happen very often, so I thought I'd better document it! 

She caught me!  Gotta love that smile!

Day 340, Tuesday, December 7th

Baby Girl on the way home from bible study.  She didn't quite make it home.  Of course, the 3 trains I caught did not help!

Day 341, Wednesday, December 8th

History day!  After reading about early African history and some of the Anansi stories, we made our own Anansi's.

Hubby making sausage-in-jalapenos for a work carry in:  halving and deseeding . . .

stuff with sausage and cooking in soy sauce . . .

cooked and all ready to eat!

Day 226, Sunday, August 15th

Again, didn't realize I didn't have a picture till I went to post!!  Maybe I was still recovering from the Pulsefest?  I was going to post more on that too . . . maybe this week . . .

Day 227, Monday, August 16th

Sorry for the bad picture, but the camera didn't focus well and then the batteries went dead!  So, this is the only one I had.  We had bought this chair for M's 1st birthday and brought it downstairs because we thought Baby Girl might enjoy it - apparently, so does Toby!

Day 228, Tuesday, August 17th

Big changes are happening in our house this year - after much prayer and discussion, J is going back to public school - he is going into 7th grade - Jr. High!  (Prayers appreciated)  That means time for a  haircut!  Isn't he a cutie?! 

Day 229, Wednesday, August 18th

J's first day of school - and I didn't take a picture!  Shame on me!  We did pass some of the time without him playing with Baby Girl's new toy from her Aunt C.  It is about time she learned how to apply lipstick and start wearing some bling, isn't it?!  Thanks Aunt C!

Day 230, Thursday, August 19th

What better than an outing with your cousin and having your own special place to sit?!

Day 231, Friday, August 20th

Toby in the chair, again, and Baby Girl trying to figure out how she is going to get in!  She loves climbing in and out of it, sitting in it with a book and getting in trouble for standing in it, but he just wants to nap!

Oh, yeah, and a night out with the hubby to celebrate my birthday!  All I need to say is "Yummy"!

Day 232, Saturday, August 21st

M's books all ready for 1st grade.  We usually don't start until after Labor Day, but with J already in school, we are ready to get going!  Not only was I getting him ready for a new experience this week, but also getting everything ready for M and L!  We start on Monday!

Play Date

We had a play date last Wednesday - Baby Girl and Rylan liked to hang out . . .

We had my nephew stay overnight.  I just love the little guys playing cars.

I had the privilege of watching a good friend's daughter for the evening.  These two are only 5 months apart.  What fun it was to watch them interact.  I'll have to post on the the evening and how Baby Girl did!  Too funny!

Day 195, Thursday, July 15th

Baby Girl has never played with bubbles before!  How did that happen?!  Her big brothers are glad to introduce her to them - I think she likes them!

Day 196, Friday, July 16th

L and M are ready for their Kid's Triathalon on Saturday! 

Day 197, Saturday, July 17th

They did it - they completed the kid's triathalon - swim 25 yds, bike 1.5 miles, run  1/2 mile!  As L has been waiting for the chance to say, "Been there, done that, got the t-shirt" - and the medal to prove it!  I am so proud of them both.  This was a new experience and they had fun and gave it their all!  Good job boys!  (My husband filled me in later, that L really gave it his all and broke down after this pic - he pushed himself to his limit)
